SAN ANGELO – In Brady James Stewart’s commencement address to his fellow graduates of San Angelo Central High School, he said. “No one can practice for you. No one can study for you. You are the only person who can achieve your goal.”
James this year’s CHS Valedictorian, cited from Mr. Arthur Gladwell’s famous 2008 novel titled, “Outliers: The Story of Success.” “’It took 10,000 hours to become an expert at your passion’” said Stewart.
James believed the 584 diverse senior class were passionate about many things, ranging from athletics, art, music, entrepreneurship, scholastics, etc.
“All of us who showed up to receive our diploma are ready because you have endured your 10,000 hours, and become experts at perseverance.”
In Dr. Christopher Moran’s brief remarks to the Class of 2026, he said. “This is a beginning for you. You’re walking out of here to write the blank pages that have yet to be written.”
After SAISD officials conferred diplomas to all the graduates, Adithi Sai Podaralla, Salutatorian gave her address.
“Class of 2026 do not take anyone for granted. Everyone from parents, siblings, teachers, friends, make sure to thank them. “You have already accomplished so much. Do not let anyone or anything stop you from achieving your wildest dreams” concluded Sai Podaralla.
“In a moment you will move your tassel which symbolizes your transition from a student to a graduate. The graduating Class of 2026 will now be an Alumni of San Angelo Central High School. Dr. Ross’ instructions concluded the commencement ceremony.
