The NSB-2-School community wide event was held on Sunday, August 9, 20226 from 3 p.m.- 6 p.m. at the McNease Convention Center.<br \/>\nAmong the talented group to perform was the Mariachi Los Caciques, under Lake View High School Director of Mariachi\u00a0Rosendo\u00a0Ramos\u00a0and his Assistant Director Ezra Ramirez.<br \/>\nOne of the most popular <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ranchera\">Ranchera<\/a>\u00a0and traditional Mexican songs performed by Los Caciques was \u201cEl Rey\u201d written in 1971 by Mexican singer\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jos%C3%A9_Alfredo_Jim%C3%A9nez\">Jos\u00e9 Alfredo Jim\u00e9nez<\/a>.<br \/>\nInterestingly narrative about Jim\u00e9nez\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Latin_Grammy_Hall_of_Fame\">Latin Grammy Hall of Fame<\/a> song and Vicente Fern\u00e1ndez considered the &#8220;Mexican\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sinatra\">Sinatra<\/a>.\u201d Fernandez, the four-time <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Grammy_Awards\">Grammy Awards<\/a>, nine-time\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Latin_Grammy_Awards\">Latin Grammy Awards<\/a> recipient, and future Hollywood Walk of Fame and \u201cEl Rey\u201d both became associated as iconic, therefore a perfect fit.<br \/>\nAmong the other local celebrity groups included: KIXY FM\u2019s radio personalities, Alma V in the morning, and Rick Andrews, the fnafcosplayer Julia E Luna, Foxy Kalani\u2019s cosplay, San Angelo Variants S.A.V.A.G.E. cosplayers, NYXXY West Texas cosplayer, and VS cosplayer.<br \/>\nThe DJ for this Bash blow-out summer party was Zane Talamantes, AKA DJ-Z Entertainment. Zane, 15-years-old, is a junior at Lake View High School. DJ-Z got the party jumpstarted with one of the hottest hip-hop songs titled, Church Clap by KB featuring Lecrae with one powerful lyric, \u201cO\u2019 Lord give me that God Almighty that old Gospel.\u201d<br \/>\nChurch Clap quickly got the attention of the Lake View Cheerleaders, and the San Angelo Central High Tex-Anns, who put on a line dance show that was off the charts!<br \/>\nSome of the vendors just to name a few were: Crystal Villegas, owner of A Better View Photography (325) 315-5611), Linking Hearts, San Angelo Billiards Association Texas Roadhouse, Concho Valley Turning Point, Mexico Missions Ministry, Tiffany Christenson from Dallas-Forth Worth provided popcorn, and cotton candy from Louda LC, and Ricardo Casillas who traveled from San Antonio, Texas.<br \/>\nOther vendors, barbers who provided free haircuts were the Gentleman Salon, and Lounge, Impressions Beauty Salon, The Barber Way located at 1632 S. Chadbourne St., Jay Balderas, J-Smooth, Classic Barbering; in all 34 barbers gave 500 free haircuts.<br \/>\nGeneva texted Flaco Guapo Media an update report on 1000 backpacks were given away, along with 1000 pairs of shoes.<br \/>\nWhile families were going through the lines, 2000 people were served food.
