SAN ANGELO \u2013Casey Sisk, former decorated eight-time PRCA Turquois Circuit Finalist in steer roping and bronc riding, one among many of his collegiate titles, and now the head coach of the Angelo State University rodeo team, hosted the first, \u201crodeo\u201d pun intended, inaugural National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association under his charge. ASU\u2019s inaugural rodeo was held in the Outdoor Fiesta Arena at the San Angelo Fairgrounds.
\nCasey\u2019s other prestigious awards included the 2003 New Mexico Rodeo Association Rookie of the Year at the collegiate level. In 2005, Sisk was named the CNFR Reserve National Champion Bull Rider and the 2005 National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) Central Plains Region Champion Bull Rider according to his bio.
\nSisk and his ASU 35-member rodeo team\u2019s NIRA event coincided with the rich, traditional Cinch Roping Fiesta over the four day-weekend, October 23-26, 2025. The Roping Fiesta is considered the \u201cCrown Jewel. \u201cAngelo is a rodeo town,\u201d said Sisk who was extremely excited to get the inaugural one going.
\nOne of Sisk\u2019s members, Freshman Ridley Timberlake scored a 3.9 in the breakaway Friday night, October 24 to have her splitting 3rd, 4th and 5th<\/sup>. In the Goat tying competition, Miss Timberlake earned reserve champion breakaway roper to place 6th<\/sup>.

\nOne of the best in the country business, Wade Bowen, Red Dirt artist appeared on the Texas Music Scene with host, Jack Ingram, and also appeared on the Kelly Clarkson Show last June 21, 2024.
\nIn Bowen\u2019s career, the former Texas Tech graduate who majored in Public Relations has collaborated with the best of the best in country music, from Pat Green to Randy Rogers, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and brother-in-law, Cody Canada brother-in-law\u00a0of\u00a0Cross Canadian Ragweed<\/a>.
\nUnder Texas skies, and cool temperatures the 10 p.m. after party hosted by ASU, wrapped up with 20-year veteran of Texas Country, Mr. Wade Bowen.
\nBowen\u2019s two-hour set included two great songs of which Flaco Guapo Media video recorded. One was the tear-jerker heart-broken Everything Has Your Memory (Official Music Video)

\nThe song was included in Bowen\u2019s Somewhere Between the Secret and the Truth album released on August 12, 2022.
\nThe second one, West Texas Rain from Bowen’s 2016 self-titled album was soundly greeted by an appreciative rodeo crowd.
